Any electrical product, including motors, will generate heat to varying degrees during operation. However, under normal circumstances, heat generation and heat dissipation are in a relatively balanced state. For motor products, the temperature rise index is used to characterize the heat generation level of the motor. Among the performance indicators of motors, a very important performance indicator is temperature rise, which characterizes the heat generation level of the motor winding and is closely related to the insulation performance of the motor. For motors with higher temperature rise, the insulation material used in its winding must have a higher heat resistance grade, and the bearing system directly related to it must also meet the function of high-temperature operation. During the operation of the motor, as the running time changes, the motor winding temperature will go from low to high and then to stable. When the heating and heat dissipation reach a relative balance, the motor winding temperature will remain at a relatively constant level. The length of this time is directly related to the heat dissipation of the motor and the surrounding environment. When the ventilation and heat dissipation conditions are not good, the temperature rises quickly. Otherwise, it will take longer for the winding to reach stability. In the actual application of the motor, it takes a certain amount of time for the motor winding to go from normal temperature during the starting process to a relatively stable temperature. Motor users can determine the temperature rise level of the winding according to the parameters in the product nameplate information. For occasions with higher temperature rise requirements, the motor temperature rise will be dynamically monitored. For example, PT100 is a component commonly used in dynamic motor temperature testing. We can use the temperature value displayed by PT100 and the motor operating environment temperature for calculation. When the difference between the two is relatively stable, as long as it does not exceed the insulation grade temperature requirement indicated on the motor nameplate, the reliability of the motor operation can be guaranteed. In view of the reliability requirements of motor operation, the motor operating environment has a great influence on the temperature of the motor winding. Motor users in special operating environments should conduct necessary communication with the motor supplier in the product ordering requirements. For example, plateau operating environments and closed and unventilated environments where the motor is installed require a higher heat resistance level for the motor winding.
